Peugeot 308
Launch predictions: May 2014
The French automaker has decided to retain the same name for its popular C-segment hatchback, the 308 for 2014. The new car is a massive improvement in terms of styling when compared to its predecessor. Its interior has also received major changes as the French marque promises class leading interior quality. What is touted as the best feature of the interior is the 9.7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, which does away with a lot of unnecessary physical buttons.
According to WhatCar?, with the use of aluminium and high-strength steel in the construction of the 308, Peugeot has managed to make the new car around 140kg lighter than the outgoing model. At launch we are probably going to get just one powerplant, the 1.6-litre THP, but there’s still a chance that we will get more than a couple of engines to choose from later down the road.
